It is your guild so do come and have your say. Elaine and Jackie will be there the night before and happy to meet others for a meal. I will be at a National meeting but will see you on the day.
§ Newly Trained BSG Demonstrators- Please contact Veronica for information of people looking for demonstrations to complete their accreditation. These must be held at a BSG venue. Also Karen Goble is newly available for more demonstrations and workshops, contact info available on request.
§ BSG LOGO - The BSG circle logo must only be used for official BSG business. A lot of members started to add the logo to their websites and National committee require that members should remove it. After several people asked what could they have to show membership a web logo was created for members to put on their websites. Members can also show the National website address for people to go to. If you need the new logo please use the contact email and we will forward it to you.
§ Bromley Flower and Sugar show took place on 13th June and Swale won a well deserved first place with a stunning table. I will upload photos as soon as possible. Second place was Maidstone with the winning table from Brighton. Joint third place was awarded to Surbiton and Tunbridge Wells branches with their tables which had been amended since Brighton.
§ BSG Associate Membership - Just recently I have spoken to a few people who didn't know that you could be a member of more than one branch. Your home branch is where you pay the National and branch fees and you can sit on the committee and full voting rights. Branches vary but most feel it is a win win situation you pay branch fees only at your associate branch, which might get a cheaper entrance fee and branches get extra confirmed money to pay their bills. There are no National rules on how many branches you can be an associate member of, but check with the branch.
§ AZO_free colours: As of 20th July 2010 the following food colours (known as the ‘Southampton List’ or non AZO-free colours) in any food product, including chocolates, will require a mandatory warning on your ingredients label. Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008.
