CHILDRENS DIVISION

A child may enter any class for which they are eligible, e.g. an 8 year old may enter the Minor, Junior or Teen category. However, children are limited to winning 3 gold awards in any one class. Once 3 gold awards have been achieved in one category, the child must then move up to the next level if they wish to continue competing. Any child winning 3 gold awards in the Teens class may then enter the Novice class at adult level. All groups are up to and including age shown at the date of the competition.

Children's Division
 

CD A - Tots up to age 7 years - Sweetie Picture
A picture of your favorite animal/insect made with sweets. No artificial decorations allowed. If exhibit is displayed on a board, ribbon may only be used on the edge the board.
Exhibit to fit within a 9 inch (23cm) square.
All work to be done solely by the competitor.
Age NOT NAME to be displayed by the exhibit.

CD B - Minor up to age 9 years - Marzipan Christmas Cake Top
A cake drum/board coated in any edible medium, to represent the surface of a cake. The cake top must be decorated with a Christmas theme using marzipan. Moulds and internal edible supports may be used. Edible food colouring may be used for colouring marzipan and/or painting highlights, small amounts of royal icing are acceptable. No artificial decoration, varnish, gel, glaze or whitener allowed. Ribbon may only be used to edge the board.

All work to be done solely by the competitor.
Age NOT NAME to be displayed by the exhibit.

CD C - Junior up to age 12 years - Easter Cake
A cake or dummy coated in royal icing or sugarpaste with an Easter theme. No artificial decoration allowed. Ribbon may only be used to edge the board.
Exhibit to fit within a 10 inch (25cm) square.
All work to be done solely by the competitor.
Age NOT NAME to be displayed by the exhibit.

CD D - Teens up to age 16 years - Fantasy Birthday Cake
A fantasy birthday cake or dummy coated in royal icing or sugarpaste. No artificial decoration allowed. Ribbon may only be used to edge the board.
Exhibit to fit within a 12 inch (30cm) square.
All work to be done solely by the competitor.
Age NOT NAME to be displayed by the exhibit.

CD E - Young Persons up to age 18 years - Model
A model of any subject to be made from any edible medium. Moulds and internal edible supports may be used. No artificial decoration allowed. Ribbon may only be used to edge the board.
Exhibit to fit within a 10inch (25cm) square.
All work to be done solely by the competitor.
Age NOT NAME to be displayed by the exhibit.
