This is the first year that a Public Division has been allowed and the
first time that the Region has included a Charity Cake in the Competition.

 PD 3 Charity Cake
A cake or dummy coated in royal icing or covered in sugarpaste to represent a registered charity. The charity must be clearly identifiable. The name and address of the charity must be provided at the time of entry. Artificial decoration allowed. Exhibit to fit within a 10 inch (25cm) square.

Visitors to the exhibition judged this category. For a donation visitors could vote for their favourite cake. The cake with the most votes won and the money raised was given to the winning cake.
The Trophy was sponsored by Luminati. 

 

The winner was Terri Simmons, Ind. member with her RNLI cake.
She scored 90 votes and raised £148.82 for the charity. It was later
presented to the Newhaven Royal National Lifeboat Institution cake
where it raised £164.00.

 
 
 

Help for Heroes - Carolyn Harvey Tunbridge Wells
The cake was raffled at the new Crawley BSG branch meeting
on the 27th May and raised £39.66 for the charity.
 
 

    
 

The Lions Hospice - Kenneth Wells Gravesend
The cake was later raffled at the Hospice and raised £120.00.

  
 
 

Women Royal Voluntary Service - Patricia Keemar Crawley
The cake was later enjoyed at a lunch club run by the WRVS
