The next Region 8 South East Sugarcraft Exhibition will take place on 7th May 2011 between 10am and 4.30pm. The exhibition will be opened by the Brighton Mayor and his wife. The competition schedule is now available to view via the categories to the left. The registration form can be requested via the contact form. We are delighted to announce that our Chairman of Judges will be Janet Foster.
Entrance programmes, hands on and demonstration tickets will be available to buy from the 1st April 2011. Please do not request them any sooner as they will not have been printed. Subjects and demonstrations will be updated towards the end of this year.
New for 2011 we are revising the Cygnets hands on tables to allow one ticket per child to be bought in advance after the 1st April. This will allow a fairer chance for all children to have a go.
The below photos from the 2009 exhibition show the Mayoress being given a corsage and next, the Mayor presenting Mavis (a founder member of the BSG) and David Grimwade with flowers and a corsage on their Golden Anniversary.
If you have any unwanted presents and would like to donate them to the raffle or tombola, please give them to your branch to bring to the October or March regional meeting, alternatively let us know via the contact form. Don't forget to make a corsage so that the Mayoress can select one as a present.
We will have some extra traders next year as a couple are no longer trading but others have jumped in to fill their shoes.
